The Evaluation
The Sructural Realignment Treatment session begins with a complete postural evaluation in which you are requested to assume your normal, standing postural position in front of a mirror. The therapist then systematically proceeds to visually and manually examine many areas of the body where postural deviations have the potential to occur.
Due to the vast variety of lifestyles, personal habits, physical conditioning, injuries, etc. everyone has developed a personal set of deviations that is uniquely their own. Defining this postural fingerprint is the first objective of the therapist.
The evaluation requires approximately 20-30 minutes and serves as the basis for the Structural Realignment Treatment Program that the physical therapist will prescribe.
